Surfside’s Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club and the Acqualina Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles Beach are the No. 3 and No. 6 best hotels in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report.
The media company, also behind well-known national rankings of colleges and hospitals, evaluated more than 30,000 luxury hotels across the world to come up with its 2019 Best Hotels lists for the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean.
The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii took the No. 1 spot on the U.S. list.
Hotels that rank highly on the annual list are known for outstanding service, ample on-site amenities and elegant accommodations, U.S. News & World Report said.
Other Florida hotels to make the Top 100 include the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World (No. 18); The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island in Fernandina Beach (No. 26); the Faena Hotel Miami Beach (No. 51); the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Manalapan (No. 82); the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort (No. 85); the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach (No. 89); and the Mandarin Oriental, Miami (No. 98).
